This little known walking path has recently received some tender loving care and has become quite a nice place to stroll!
The entrances can be found at the end of the Activity Field or adjacent to the Gem Mine near the Sapphire Valley Resort Community Center.
Meandering about .8 of a mile through heavily forested areas the walk follows the Horsepasture River where many native plants thrive on the valley floor.
The trail will also pass by long abandoned construction work site from the early 2000’s where nature is slowly reclaiming the area
The River Walk has a fresh bed of mulch and really has zero elevation change making it a nice walk for young and old alike.
